Wow! As I'm writing these blog posts, I'm seeing the images for the first time and I'm blown away at how well some of these came out. The lighting for the rest of the safari is perfect and some of the sunrise pics are almost post card like. I hope you enjoy them. And FYI, I will be eventually posting all my images online if you care to sort through hundreds of images in your spare time. ;-)
Woke up early that morning to go pick up Xander and Sas, catch the morning sun rise, and to see some animal feedings. During the day, it gets pretty hot and many of the Big 5 tend to hide out during the heat. On this day we would start by seeing an amazing sun rise in the desert. This would be followed by many lions (including a male) feeding on a wildebeest. Next we would see some monkeys, some hippo and a cheetah. For now I'm just going to shut up and let you check these out. :-)
We finished the day by driving back to the Ngorongoro crater. We were supposed to spend the night in the tent (where it would get very cold because of the altitude), but we chickened out and got a couple of rooms at the Rhino Lodge along the rim of the crater. Had a great evening next to a fire place and enjoyed yet another typical meal that included Soup. Soup soup soup. I don't think I will be having another bowl of soup for a very long time. ;-)
